BSc Hons, Health Care Practice (Podiatry)

On Friday 23rd January 2004 The Smae Institute signed a partnership agreement with Anglia Ruskin University (AR) opening a new frontier in degree level training.

The course is mainly paper based distance learning and can be completed in a minimum of 2 years (and a maximum of 5 years).

This course is designed as a professional development opportunity for those who are HPC Registered Podiatrists. This course does not lead to HPC Registration or attract HPC approval.

The course is open to both Smae trained and non-Smae trained chiropodists. The Smae undergraduate course has been credit weighted by AR and therefore Smae graduates are not required to go through an APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experience and Learning) process. Whereas the non-Smae trained chiropodists will be required to fill out APEL forms and provide evidence of training as part of their enrolment.
