Diploma in Prescription Only Medicines
This course is now open for applications from HCPC Podiatry registrants.
Upon successful completion the student will be eligible to apply to have their HCPC registration annotated for Prescription Only Medicines. This registration forms a separate entry point on the HCPC register. The Academic component of this course will involve e-lectures,e-tutorials and self-directed learning. The examination element of this course shall be held at The Smae Institute in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
The Diploma comprises of 1 module, covering pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and categorisation of podiatric pharmacological agents. This module must be passed prior to progressing onto the Assessment.
Open Day & Registration Day
The Open Day (held annually in October) is available to all HCPC Registered Chiropodists/Podiatrists who wish to find out more information about our new Diploma in Prescription Only Medicine for Podiatry Practice.
Our POMs Diploma Open Days discuss the course in more detail and included individual sessions, which are a pre-requisite for those who wish to enrol.
